What to wear: Semi Casual

What to order: Potato dumplings

About: This elegant yet traditional Latvian restaurant showcases flavors from across the Baltics and Eastern Europe. The menu features an impressive selection of regional specialties, including Lithuanian potato dumplings, Latvian blood sausage, Ukrainian summer borscht, wild venison, and many other authentic dishes. The standout of the meal was the wild venison, which was exceptionally tender and flavorful. We also loved the Lithuanian potato dumplings—they were rich, comforting, and easily one of our favorite dishes of the night, although they were so filling that we couldn’t finish them. If you’re looking to experience the diverse cuisines of the Baltics and Eastern Europe in one place, this restaurant is an excellent choice.

What to order: Halloumi

About: Located near one of the city’s most beautiful streets, lined with stunning art nouveau architecture, this Israeli restaurant is a must-visit if you’re looking for a break from the traditional Baltic and Eastern European cuisine. We sampled two different hummus varieties, both of which were excellent, along with the halloumi, served in a sweet syrup made from Syrian rose petals that paired beautifully with the cheese. The carrots with dates in a rich, flavorful sauce were another standout, and the fresh pita bread was some of the best we’ve had anywhere. The restaurant’s vibrant atmosphere and creative décor perfectly match its name, Space Falafel, making it a fun and memorable dining experience.
