What to order: Oranges for dessert

About: You really can’t go wrong when picking from the cart at this traditional, family-style Chinese dim sum restaurant. Fresh dumplings, savory meats, and flavorful vegetables push past in a cloud of steam wheeled through the dining room, filling the air with the aroma of ginger, garlic, and soy sauce. The dining room contributes to the authentic experience – alive with the clatter of plates and lively conversation. While the dumplings are the undeniable highlight—don’t skip specialties like the sticky rice wrapped in lotus leaf and the perfectly cooked green beans, which are just as memorable. Also don’t miss the jello inspired oranges for dessert- as clever as they are satisfying at the end of the meal. If you’re looking for a casual, quick, and delicious lunch or brunch, this is an excellent choice—an experience that’s best shared with a big party of friends.

What to order Tea Leaf salad

About: : This traditional Burmese and Southeast Asian restaurant is an excellent choice for a casual, satisfying lunch. The standout dish is undoubtedly the Burmese tea leaf salad, which has a unique combination of flavors and textures unlike anything else. The first time I tried tea leaf salad was in northern Thailand, and this version easily holds its own against the one I had there.

Beyond the salad, the menu offers a wide variety of excellent dishes. Favorites include the mango chicken, sesame chicken, and my personal top pick, the Burmese-style curry, which is rich, comforting, and full of flavor. The fresh roti is another must-order, pairing perfectly with the curries and sauces. With an extensive selection of vegetarian options, this restaurant has something to satisfy just about every palate, making it a place that’s easy to recommend to anyone.

What to order: Dosa

About: You’re going to be hard pressed to find a South Indian restaurant as exceptional as this one in the Bay Area or anywhere. While the menu is rooted in traditional Indian cuisine, many of the dishes feature contemporary twists that create a unique and memorable dining experience. Standout dishes include the shrimp vennai and the Mysore masala dosa, both of which showcase perfectly balanced spices and outstanding flavor. Every dish we tried was expertly prepared, with authentic flavors that reflected the richness of South Indian cuisine. If you’re craving excellent Indian food or looking for a one-of-a-kind culinary experience, this restaurant is well worth a visit- so dip in.
